Should I Play World of Warcraft Despite the Games Negative Reputation?
Question by Question Mark: Should I play World of Warcraft despite the games negative reputation?
So I am 19 and I enjoy gaming as well as watching movies and other things. But for some reason, as of late I want to play World of Warcraft besides the games bad reputation as some sort of online crack game. Whenever I watch documentary specials or movie specials on “WOW Addiction” I always feel like these documentaries have a hidden message and that is: GO out and get a life gamers!” Which I find to be a common insult to be thrown at gamers in general. If a person was playing WOW 3 hours a night many people would claim that to be an addiction. But if I were to go home and be watching a movie every night that is considered normal by society. Fox News and CNN whenever they do a special on game addiction you always hear how they talk about people who play video games too much. But at the same time you never hear CNN or FOX News do a special on people who excessively watch Too much tv or spend a lot of time watching movies. I don’t know why film buffs get more respect than gamers do for some reason.

I agree with you so much from personal experience. My answer to your question is to f**k those people and play what you want. My mom used to get mad at me for just playing ONE hour of games on my PS3, but she couldn’t care less if I watched T.V. or used my computer ALL DAY.
Just play WoW, great game.
