Question by lexi: Is their A place where you can send to teen for alittle bit to clear her head?
My teenager daughter is 16. She doesn’t do drugs or isn’t involved in any sexually activity but has suffered from depression. I think it would be good for her to get away from all the drama high school brings; the boys, “mean” girls, and the stress that it brings. She agrees too. Is their a place where I could send her that she would continue school work but also try to get her depression on track? Thanks so much!

There are residential treatment centers that offer such services, but they usually come with a therapeutic bent and can be very helpful. I attended one when I was 13 in New Canaan, CT called Silver Hill. It was nice to relax and just focus on recovery.
