looking for a low-cost alcohol rehab center (residential) in san francisco east bay area. have insurance, but it doesn’t pay for alcohol residential treatment

I would highly recommend Merit Peralta Hospital for detoxing from alcohol or drugs. At last notice, it was being run by Dr. David Smith of the Haight Ashbury Drug Treatment Center.
Dr. Smith is one of the finest addiction specialists in the country.
I have worked in this field for over 20 years and if you cannot find him there I would advise calling the H/A Detox center on Clayton Street in San Francisco and speaking with either Greg or with
